JANUARY 1ST
Hey Everybody!!! The website's finally been updated for the New Year! What do you think??
So, how'd the year end... After all the hardship of the last four months, the Leeney family ended 2005 with some wonderful news. First, my cousin Beth announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend Dennis (welcome to the fam!!). Then, her sis Heather announced she and hubby Carlos are expecting their first child in July! Yippee!!!! Ma Rose is continuing to make progress after her stroke in August though she has recently had trouble getting her blood-pressure under control. Keep those prayers and well-wishes coming! The loss of my Granduncle Tom is still tough going but we're getting through day by day.
Lots of love to all you guys!

JANUARY 15TH
UGH!!!!! Talk about PAINFUL!!!! Ok, so maybe the Patriots didn't have the best season but come ON guys! You're Super Bowl Champs!! And Bears... Yeah, let Rex Grossman start. Screw Kyle Orton. He's only won 10 of his 15 starts. Let's let Grossman lead the team; Grossman who played exactly TWO games this year (started ONE) and in his entire 3-season career has only played EIGHT (started seven) where Kyle has played and started 15 in his rookie year! Wow, what a GREAT JOB Rex did!! ARGH!! I HATE Rex Grossman!!!! And I HATE Lovie Smith for his attitude toward their last regular season game against Minnesota! Champions don't treat ANY games as throw away! Ditka wouldn't have had it. The PATRIOTS wouldn't have had it! Ok, so the Bears had locked up the Division title. They were 5-0 in the division all season but ended at friggin' 5-1 because they didn't feel it important to beat the Vikings!!! Yeah, making sure you're starters were all rested up for the playoffs helped LOADS, didn't it?!?!?! They didn't deserve to move on!!! But it still would've been nice... GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

FEBRUARY 5TH
We had a light dusting of snow yesterday and when Steph, Mom, and Carol were leaving last night, Mom calls me outside to see something cool: Two hearts pointing toward the house at the end of the driveway! Someone must have backed in and created two perfect hearts :^) How cool, huh? Hope it's a sign of good things to come :^)

MARCH 5TH
I had a GREAT birthday!!! Mom, Steph, and John got me an AWESOME camera and we all had tons of fun taking pics with it during the day. Thank you guys so so much and thank Zapers and Leeneys for the GREAT gifts I got from them too!!! I love you all so much!

MARCH 22ND
What a fun March! On the 11th, John, Steph, and I went downtown to audition for a VH1 game show called the World Series of Pop Culture. We had to take a 50 question test in 15 minutes and BOY was it tougher than I anticipated! Only 4 teams out of the 18 in our audition went through to the next round and unfortunately we weren't picked but boy was it fun! And we each got an Entertainment Weekly for our trouble :^) Steph's play (Pride & Prejudice) opened on the 18th and it was awesome to see my sis on stage again after my 5 years in Beantown. And she starts with her new improv troupe, 200 Funny Things, on the 26th !!! You GO GIRL!!! Also on the 18th, we celebrated Carol & Kiki's bdays at Popolano's in Lansing. I love those 2 chicks!!! Happiest BDay, Miss Claudia! What a pretty little vision in yellow she was on her big day. And finally, HUGE congrats to Deb & Rob on their exciting news: New Baby Rogers due at the end of the year!!!! WOOHOO!!!! I am SO happy for them!!! Yea, Rogers Fam! March is your month! :^)

MARCH 29TH
Ok, bad news... Steph, Mom, and Carol were in a car accident on Saturday on their way to Steph's play. Some idiot hit them from behind hard enough to push them into another car... Then HE TOOK OFF!!! Luckily, the driver of the car Steph hit got his license plate number and they gave it to the police. Keep your fingers crossed they find this moron!!! They've got some aches and pains (especially Carol) but all in all are ok [UPDATE: Steph has whiplash and Carol has a concussion and whiplash :( ]. The car needs the bumpers and right fender replaced but is running good and keeping Steph safe...
Other than that (**huge sigh**), Steph's play ended well. The Leeneys all came to see her final performance and they really did a wonderful job! She was awesome (as usual) and there were some really good! actors (keepin' 'em in my actor database :>) but then again there were some people in the play that made you go "HUH??" I'm most excited to see her with her new improv troupe! John's going Friday and I'm going Sunday :) They're still fleshing things out so seats are UBER limited for now. I can't wait to see what they're doing! It's gonna be so fun!!
We had to replace our hot water heater (can you believe it was 21 years old!!) and are now having sump pump problems but everything seems to be under control. Knock on wood we won't have to replace the fridge or anything else any time soon!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
APRIL 1ST
Wow, a lot of updates lately, huh? :^) Well, here's the latest in the AC world:
We've replaced both the hot water heater and the sump pump so knock on wood things'll stay good! The weather has been so Springy lately that John broke out the grill on Friday and we're getting uber excited about our first bbq of the season :^) I'm starting to get a ton of ideas for gardens in the backyard. I had already taken a bunch of pix and I think I'm gonna start sketching stuff out and running it past Mom to get plant ideas. Also, my cuz Heather mentioned on her blog that they're finding a bunch of stuff for the baby and the new house via Craigslist, so I've started looking around to see what's available locally for our house. I HIGHLY recommend anyone looking for anything check out their local craigslist first for some bargains! Thanks Er2!!!
I'm getting a new boss on Monday (*gulp*). I'm really trying to keep positive that he'll be a decent, upstanding leader for my department (like the interim guy we had - LOVED him!) but given that the powers-that-be chose him over the interim guy, forgive me if I remain a tad skeptical ;-P
That's about it for now! Have fun gettin' ready for the Easter holiday! Only 16 more days till the end of Lent and getting to get a dilly bar at Dairy Queen!!!!!!

APRIL 11TH
My cousin Jean has been sending me some really interesting emails lately and it's got me thinking. So I added a new page to the website called Getting to Know Ya! I'll be posting some fun, short questionnaires every so often. If we get enough responses. I'll post some of the most interesting answers :) Not to worry, they won't be anything personal. Just interesting ways to learn more about each other! Check out the first questionaire. You can pretend you're talking to James Lipton :^)

APRIL 24TH
On the 20th, John and I took Zack to get his tattoo. Kiki was set to take him on Good Friday but he forgot his birth certificate and had to reschedule. Since that was the last day of Kiki's spring break it would have been ages before he ould get a Saturday appointment, so we offered to bring him since he looked SO disappointed. I made him swear to me he wouldn't get any more until he was 22! But it turned out REALLY nice!
Other than that things are pretty good here. The weather has been beautiful and John and I started yard work season on Saturday. I hoping to get a new walkway done from the backyard gate to the patio before the 4th of July so now that I have the design figured out the next step will be pricing. Yippee!!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
APRIL 25TH
I actually know someone who won BIG on a game show!!! Ok, I don't KNOW Thorpe, but his sis Chrissy is my wipstick sister from high school and Monday night he won a TON of money on Deal or No Deal!!!!!! Holy GOODNESS!!!!! If only I was best friends with Thorpe :^) But seriously, it was SO exciting to see someone win who I know comes from such a great family!!
Take the new GTKY Questionnaire:
Johnny was home today and was on he phone with his friend Ed when he looked in the backyard and saw the cutest bunny. He grabbed the camera, headed outside, and took some GREAT pix! It was the first bunny we'd seen in the yard and it was there for HOURS!! Ok, maybe to the non-city folk this seems like a lot of hoopla for a wee rabbit, but to us, it's WAY awesome!! :^)

MAY 5TH
Happy May Everybody. Nothing much new going on here. Yesterday would have been my Granduncle Tom's 81st birthday so I called Aunt Bobbie to see how she was doing. I can't believe how strong a woman she is... In other Leeney news, Heather & Carlos are getting close to welcoming their little Perez baby in a couple months and it just makes me wish they lived closer :( Bethie's weeks away from graduation (yippee!!!!) and we Dankovis ladies attended a huge baby shower for a cousin on the Palko/Dankovis side of the fam. It was really nice to see them again (first time since Christmas!)
The new boss seems to be working out well for me. It's so refreshing having another Marriott person around instead of just Renaissance folks! It's amazing the difference between the two! Thursday I went to an Admin appreciation luncheon for work and had a great time getting to know some of the other Assistants, especially since I hardly ever get to see them being in the dungeon and all :)! But thanks to a couple of the engineers, my dungeon is a bit brigher these days. They repapered the walls, got me a shelf I've been wanting, and turned my file cabinet which COMPLETELY changes the feel of the place and ACTUALLY makes it a tad chippier to go to every day!!! Thank God for the little things, huh?!
In Beantown news, MANY CONGRATS to Keith and Joselyn on becoming GRANDPARENTS!!!!! Daughter Trina had a baby girl on May 2nd! Our friends are moving on a generation and we still don't have one yet!! Much happiness to all the Bengtsons and the new grandbaby :)
And BTW, Raquel, thank you SOOOO much for all the Beantown Easter pix!!!! I love you so so much!!! You are absolutely the BEST! YFC 4-Eva!!!!!!!!

MAY 11TH
BIG NEWS EVERYONE!!! After 18 years with the company, John is moving on from Marriott. On Monday, he'll be starting work at Juice Tyme, a local company that supplies juice to institutions (can't by it in stores). They've been around since 1980 and have had a huge growth spurt over the last five years. He'll be working accounts payable and doing inventory. He'll probably be helping them out with their pc system, as well. Though they have a company that comes in once a month for service and upkeep, they don't really have a day to day person, other that the boss, who can help with the little things that come up :^). He'll be out of the monkey suit and back into his comfy Long Wharf clothes AND he'll be making more money than he made in Bean town (which is WAY more than he was making here)!!! This has been a change LONG time coming! Now, hopefully, it won't be too terribly much longer before I can get out of the hotel, too!
In Reality TV News, the good news just keeps coming my way!! On American Idol, ELLIOTT YAMIN AND TAYLOR HICKS WERE TOP TWO VOTE GETTERS THIS WEEK AND CHRIS DAUGHTRY IS HISTORY!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Let's all keep voting for Elliott and get Katharine McPhee out next!!! On Amazing Race, the Hippies (BJ & Tyler) came from last to first and MOJO is OUT!!! YEA!!! And finally, on Survivor, even though it doesn't make him vulnerable, Terry didn't win immunity this week!!!! Aras beat him down!!! If only Aras and Cirie could make it to the final two but it looks like she's finally reached the end :(
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
MAY 21ST
Ok, first things first... WAHHHHHHHH!!!! Elliott was voted off American Idol. What a classy kid, though!! I hope he gets a great deal soon and is able to keep his momentum with his career going! GO ELLIOTT!! Now let's just make sure Taylor beats the tar out of Katharine!!!!
But YIPPEE!!!! BJ and TYLER WON AMAZING RACE!!!! They demolished the Frat boys!!!! YES!!! God DOES love me!!! :^)
Alright, now on to REAL life:
Last weekend. we had our first annual Mother's Day Luncheon in Chicago. We enjoyed doing it in Beantown so much we decided to try it here and it was really a great day! It was the first Dankovis visit to our house and it was so nice :^) Paul, Marker, and Claudia keep getting bigger and so does Debra! We keep teasing her that she's having twins since she's so much bigger this time around than she was at this point with Claudia :^) Mom and Steph spent the night and on Sunday we took her to get her potting soil and mulch :^) That night, we had a video conference with Ma and the Warnocks. It's so awesome that Billy is a little John and we've got a techie out East to help us communicate and stay in touch with the fam.
John's first week at the new job went great! It seems like he's in a great place with people who really appreciate the skills he has accumulated over the years and are actually utilizing them! The driving, obviously, is still taking some getting use to but I tell ya, he's been handling it well!!
I met my friend Chris for lunch Wednesday (we only work about 3 blocks apart and just figured it out Tuesday!). It was FABULOUS seeing her again and spending time with her :^) She brought a bunch of photos of her kiddo Cole who is JUST adorable! We've vowed to get together for lunch every couple months or so. I really hope we're able to because she's really a special person to me!
Yesterday (Sat the 20th), we and Carol met up with the Dankovis clan again at the cemetery while the four sisters did their annual gardening at the family graves. It may seem morbid but it's something I look forward to every year because ot me it's so awesome to watch my Mom and her sisters keeping such a precious tradition alive.
Afterward, Carol and us Askews saw The DaVinci Code. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!!!!! I really want to see it again and can't wait to finish Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (for the 3rd time) so I can read TDC. It was an incredible, thought-provoking film and I LOVED it! GO SEE IT!!!

MAY 27TH
We got a very sad call from Boston this week. John's Auntie Josie (Ma's younger sister) passed away last Saturday, May 20th is St. Petersburg, Florida. She had been on dialysis for the last couple of years and had not been doing well since last summer. I had had a couple chances to talk to her around Ma's surprise 75th bday party and I'm so grateful for that. Josie is survived by Uncle Joe (married 55 years), children Joseph, Robert, Richard, and Maryann, and eight grandchildren. Please keep Ma, Uncle Joe, and the Corsetti and Marriott families in your prayers through this difficult time.
In other news, my cousin Beth graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy last weeked in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And if that wasn't exciting enough, she and fiance Dennis were set to close on their new house this week, too! Many congrats to Bethie!!! YEA!!!!!

JUNE 3RD
Random Thoughts: Why am I Catholic?
Four years ago this was a question I asked myself over and over and over again. I was living in Boston and the pedophile priests scandal was in full bloom. I was listening to talk radio all day while at work and almost every hour was devoted to the topic. People from different religions asking 'How can you stay Catholic? Why would you even WANT to be Catholic anymore?' Though I hadn't been a regular Church-goer since moving to Pullman in 1991, my Catholicism was DEEPLY ingrained into every part of my being. But I was at a crossroads. How COULD I continue to be Catholic seeing how the Church was responding to these horrible, horrible atrocities against children??? Did it ultimately matter that I called myself Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopalian, or (saints preserve us) Protestant if the end goal was to have a relationship with God? What on Earth was Catholicism about anyway and why was I so unwilling to give up the title? READ MORE...

JUNE 15TH
I am so into flowers right now :^) I KNOW my Mom is thrilled that her city girl is getting dirt (yes, actual DIRT) under nails :^) I started out with pots to see if I could actually keep anything alive and I really like the way they turned out last year so I'm going pot crazy this year! Last Saturday, Mom helped me with my first perennials (yikes!). John suggested we put a ring around the tree in the front yard so Mom walked me through (and did almost ALL the work!) turning the soil and building it up. We got these pretty purple spiky flowers [salvia] (like my use of technical jargon!) and these great marigolds - cuz as everyone knows I'm completely in to orange and purple right now - and it turned out so lovely. Here are a couple pix of the ring and my porch pots. I'm ecstatic that my Johnny Jump Ups are still thriving considering I all but killed them by taking so very long to pot them. And I'm COMPLETELY in love with my long planter which was inspired by my cousin Jean when I saw these lovely orangey/peachy/corally flowers (what were they called, Mom?) at her house - thanks cousin!

JUNE 18TH
Well, we finally had to bite the bullet and get a new car! It was so SO sad letting go of Little Blue.. He did SUCH a great job getting us from Boston to Chicago, overloaded with all our junk, me practically pinned in my seat between rest stops and hotel rooms... **sniffle sniffle**
We traded in LB for a stormy grey Saturn Ion 2. John loved my sister's Saturn so much, he was determined to get one as well. We were gonna get a used car but with all the driving John has to do now, a new car just made more sense.
I did a bunch more yard work this weekend trying to get ready for the 4th of July. I am so sore and stiff!! But it's a GREAT stiff and sore :^)
We FINALLY saw X-Men: The Last Stand... Hmm... Lots of fun effects and what not but with such seamless and just outSTANDing predecessors... let's just say you can really REALLY feel not only the absence of Bryan Singer (do I hate House because of it or not?? Confused confused!!) but also that Hugh Jackman's production company produced the movie and has a Wolverine sequel in the works.

JULY 3RD
Happy belated bday to Mom on June 26th! She and Steph helped with tons of yard work on the 23rd for our BBQ on the 2nd. My Mom is such a master gardener!! She has TONS of great ideas and I'm learning so SO much!! The gardens are really starting to come along nicely. We've got the main bed almost completely turned. We'll have to cut back the peonies soon now that they're done blooming and I'll have a better idea of what kind of space we'll have once that's done. The hardest part of the gardening is gonna be getting rid of ALL the rocks the lady before us had in all the beds... UGH!!!! What a PAIN!
We had Mom's party on the 24th. It was a small one (Kiki & Zack weren't able to make it) but it was still a great time. We three got her a new BBQ and lots of soil for her beautiful garden. Steph and I took Monday off so we could spend her bday with her. We went out to lunch (what a fun thing to do as adults!) and for a bit of shopping before we headed back to Pullman for dinner with Kiki.
Steph was in her first murder mystery/dinner show on Saturday, July 1st! She played a psychic named Madame Baboushka. Sadly, we weren't able to go because of getting ready for the BBQ the next day :^( From what I hear though, it was really a fun (and LONG) experience! I'm SO excited for her and REALLY hope she gets to do something else with the group so I can go see it. Best of all, she's getting paid!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
Our Fourth of July was Sunday, July 2nd. Again, a small group (my cousins and the Zapers couldn't make it) but what a great time we had!! Tons of food, TONS of laughs!!! The only bad thing was the friggin Sox losing to the @!%? Cubs (ARGH!). At least they won the series 2-1 :^) One of the best parts of the day was feeling my little godson kick! :^)

JULY 11TH
Welcome to the world little Miss Evelyn Perez! My cousin Heather had a baby girl on July 9th, nearly 2 weeks early. She weighed just over 7-1/2 lbs and though I haven't seen a pic of her yet, Er2 says she has black hair, hazel eyes, and cute chubby cheeks. I'm SO SO happy for my cuz and Carlos! CONGRATS PEREZ FAMILY!!!!!

JULY 16TH
A couple of my family members have started accounts at livejournal.com. It's basically an online journal (blog) site. I thought it was a great idea so I started one, too. I'll be using it for my random thoughts like the Why Am I Catholic entry a couple weeks ago. You know, stuff that's really just too long to post here on the site and not really updates on the latest at Casa Cece. So, here's the link to the journal. You'll be at the welcome message. Look for the tags at the end of the message and click entries to see anything posted :^) Anyhow, I hope you find the stuff interesting! And feel free to leave your comments on anything you read!

JULY 20TH
I finally (yes FINALLY) put up a new quiz on the Get to Know Ya page. Check it out and if you get something interesting forwarded to you, be sure you send it my way!!
And don't forget to stop by my journal (at livejournal.com) for the latest writings, etc :^)
TTYL!!

JULY 23RD
Yesterday, Steph and I went to a technical theatre workshop at South Suburban College and we learned a lot of great stuff about how to make all kinds of prop items (even drinkable and scabbing blood!!!), sound, and flat building. It really was a bunch of fun!
Then that night, we all took Aunt Bobbie out for a birthday dinner to Kelsey Steak Houe in Schererville. It is always SO much fun to get together with family outside of a holiday situation when all you have to do is visit and enjoy each other :^)
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
AUGUST 12TH
Billy's in town!! Can you believe it, his plane got in 35 MINUTES EARLY! Have you ever heard of such a thing?! We had just parked in the garage and he called! So, unfortunately we weren't able to meet him at the gate but a pilot pointed him in the right direction and he made it to us fine, weighed down by about 80 lbs of luggage! :) We're so happy to have him here and can't wait to have a ton of fun till we're sick of him and send him back on the 20th heeheehee ;->
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
AUGUST 18TH
It's been a year since we lost my Granduncle Tom. I can't believe how fast time flies. This time last year we were probably at the lowest point we've experienced together - torn between being in Boston with the family and Ma Rose, her having just had the stroke 3 days earlier and being in Chicago with my family getting through the unexpected and sudden loss of my Uncle. It was the beginning of an extremely difficult year for us but there was light at the end of the tunnel. We made it through and we're even stronger a couple for it. I'm happy to say that Ma has come farther than probably any of us expected a year ago! She's at her own home several days a week and continues to improve day by day. She's an incredible and strong woman and we couldn't be more proud to call her Ma!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
AUGUST 27TH
What a GREAT visit we had with Billy!!! It was so SO awesome to have him out here for 8 days, especially since we hadn't seen him since Christmas! We had tons of fun minigolfing, site-seeing downtown, having lunch at the House of Blues (you MUST have the bread pudding!!!), checking out the DaVinci exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry, and shooting "Suppressed Evil," Billy's latest movie!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
SEPTEMBER 13TH
Ok, it's been a while so here's the latest: after our awesome visit with Billy, we four Askews went to see the White Sox play the Devil Rays at Comiskey Park (oops, I mean US Cellular field) on Aug 29. Thank GOODNESS they won!! Even though it was a Tuesday night game (and 3 of us had work the next day - friggin' Steph!) we had SUCH a great time we've decided to make it a family tradition to go see a game together once a year (HOPEFULLY a Sox v Sox game!). We ate so much our stomachs were a wreck but BOY was it fun!
Then on Sep 9th we had our Labor Day BBQ with the CLARZ gang (minus a very sick Carol and working Kevin :( ). Debra is HUGE ad it'll be interesting to see if she makes it to October 23rd!!
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
OCTOBER 15TH
Wow, sorry for the delay in updates!!! A lot has happened in the last month... I went to lunch with my friend Chris at the end of September and found out she's preggers with her second baby due mid-May! CONGRATS KENNISONS!! Columbus Day weekend was pretty full. On the 7th, we went to Debra's baby shower (I can't believe that kid hasn't decided to come yet!!) and then Sunday the 8th was the Pullman House Tour which Deb & Rob also joined us on. She was probably hoping the stairs would get the baby ready to come out :) Yesterday (the 14th) we went to Bethany's local bridal shower; it was so good seeing everybody again. After, we took Sandy out for her birthday (Happy 60th!!!!!) to House of Kobe and had the best chef ever!! What a great way to celebrate a speical birthday for one of the most wonderful people in my life!!!!

NOVEMBER 2ND
Well, four happy years of marriage down, inifinity more to go:) What a great ride this has been. I've said it before and I'll say it again... thank goodness for writer's block :) I don't know about John, but I am happier than I've ever been (even when we're REALLY getting on each other's nerves .->) and I can't imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else in the world!
I just love you sweetheart...
__________________________________________________________________________________________________
NOVEMBER 8TH
What a great trip we had to Boston this weekend! We got in on Saturday the 4th (after being bumped up to Business Class on the flight in). We walked in the house and totally surprised Ma Rose cuz she had no idea we were coming :) Then, we added to the fun by announcing the baby :):):) I threw John a surprise 40th birthday party on Sunday and what a great time we had! We went to town and visited Long Wharf on Monday then spent the rest of the day with Ma as that was her 78th birthday. The flight home on Tuesday felt like it took FOREVER and was a little rough for me but we made it home only 3 minutes late and enjoyed a terrific night's sleep in our bed :)
I'll update more later tonight and fill you all in on the baby details!
Love you all BUNCHES!!!!

NOVEMBER 19TH
Happy 30th BDay, Jeannie!!!!!
Well, Friday (17th) we got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time :))))) What a precious little choo-choo train we have already :) My nausea seems to be trying to lessen but it is still putting up a good fight. Unfortunately, it's not just food smells that drive me nuts anymore. ALL smells are getting to me. I can't even stand the smell of people's lotions on the train in the morning!!! And I've had to ask John to switch deodorants because there's something about it that just hits me the wrong way! Isn't that just nuts!!! People keep telling me there's relief coming but it's still REALLY hard to believe them feeling the way I do. Thank God I'm not a puker to begin with though! And thank God for Lemonheads :)
Since Mom, Steph, and I all took the day off to hear our little choo-choo, we HAD to stop by the Rogers house and meet little Aaron in person :) What a sweet little guy he is!!! It wasn't long before those three had me holding him and even feeding him!!! AHHHHH!!!!!!!! I've NEVER held a baby that young before (only 2 weeks) much less fed one! I was SO freaking out! I thought I was folding him up too much and just had NO idea what I was doing :) I do have to admit that it got a WEE bit easier the longer I held him. I think our Choo-Choo will be MUCH happier if I hang with Aaron a little more before June :)

DECEMBER 10TH
Happy BDay, Dennis!!!!!
John's 40th birthday in Chicago was much lower-key than in Boston, but still a good time with good friends. On the 25th we had a small party at the house with the Leeneys & the Zapers. Mom made a second, small Thanksgiving meal for us and it was oh so nummy :) I couldn't eat much but ate more than I thought I'd be able too so that's great :^) On the 28th, his actual BDay, I took him to the new Chili's by our house. He's been wanting to go there and since there's NO way I could've gone back to House of Kobe right now, I figured I'd give it the old college try for my sweetheart. Let me just say, this Chili's was outstanding! Maybe it's just that its so new but the ventilation system was absolutely excelent and I didn't experience ANY of my food smell craziness even when two different table near us ordered fajitas and the smoke came straight for us like it was on a mission!
I'm doing pretty good. I seem to be ready to eat more different kinds of things and I'm WAY hungrier than I have been but I still can't eat very much and I get (sorry guys) a terrible build up of gas and get into these exhausting burping fits so I'm still having TONS of food issues. Ho hum... Please let some relief come soon... This is a pretty frustrating point to be right now :^)

DECEMBER 23RD
Merry Christmas Everybody!!! May you and your family received all the very best of all things in all ways in the coming year. We love you all and wish you peace, love, and happiness during the holiday season!
