Happy January Dates to...
Gpa Steve | Kelly & Terry | Stephie | Joselyn | Stephen

So the year started with Mom, Steph, and Me ringing in the New Year alone because John still hadn't passed his kidney stone :(  He celebrated with us as long as he could be was so tired from being in the emergency room and in so much pain a couple days before that he hit the hay early. Kiki was also with us earlier but went home this year before midnight. Here's a great family pic of us all in my studio :)

WOW! It's been a LOOOONG time since I updated this site in real time!!!!! Still working on getting all the highlights of the last 2 years posted but I *PROMISE* I will :) So, Let me start from the beginning of the year:
Happy March Dates to...
Deb & Rob | Heather | Happy St. Patrick's Day | Carol | Kiki | Claudia | Fred | Happy Easter

March was a hugely busy month! On the 9th, we signed Jamie up for BASEBALL - I know, I know but I think it will be something he will enjoy. One thing I've learned this year is that he craves structure and I hope baseball can give him some more of that. Of course, if I knew when I walked in to registration that we would be paying the amount of moola that we did, I don't think I would have done it.. Also onthe 9th, Jamie was invited to his first birthday party! It was a pool party at a new facility near Mom's house - really cool! There was an issue with a light in the pool which delayed their time getting inthe water but he had soo much fun once he (and John) got in! On the 16th, all teh Cuzins came to town and we all got together at the Shutko house. It was sooo good to see everybody! We haven't all been together for 2 years! The next day, though, Jamie came down with a fever and ended up missing the whole following week of school because he couldn't shake the temp. We took him to the Doc that Thursday and got some antibiotics in him which knocked out his illness really well. On March 23rd, John & I went to the parent meeting for teeball. More $$ (raffle tickets) but I think we both started feeling better about it after meeting the people in charge of Glenwood Baseball and seeing how passionate they were and how seriously they took it (not serious like WIN WIN WIN but serious like it really mattered to them). And while I turned 40 this year, Freddie turned *50*! Ugh, we're all getting so old! Spring Break started the 29th, Doctor Who came back on the 30th, and Easter was the 31st. None of the cuzins came back for the holiday (since they were just out 2 weeks prior) but it was still a great day with the Aunts and Uncles.
Happy April Dates to...
Cindy | CATIE | Monica | Gerry | Kendra | Matthew | Nicholas | Rob

We got out to the park one day during Spring Break (wanted at least 2 but the weather, as usual, decided not to cooperate). I decided that I *really* need to fnd some sort of organized something for Jamie t get involved with over summer vacation because after a week off school, he is *really* missing the structure. Or maybe I just need to stop being so lazy :)

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY to our Catie Belle!!! I don't know *where* in the world so much time has gone already.. How can you possibly be THREE already...? She surprises me every day with how much she knows and how funny she is and how quickly she learns.. *sniff sniff* It's so amazing to see but I can't believe my little baby girl is already such a big girl..

On Saturday, the 13th, we had a very small birthday party for our girl. Since we didn't have a CLARZ get together because Catie was sick then John had his kidney stone, we decided to have a CLARZ celebration of Catie's special day :) My kidlets are getting too bog too fast but I can't believe how big the Rogers kidlets are! I don't know who told all these children they could grow up so fast but I am not happy about it!! :)

So, now that Catie's 3, I have to suck it up and get serious about the pacy and the potty training. I don't know why, but she just doesn't seem like she's in the same place James was when I started training him. Or maybe I'm just kinda nervous about training a girl? I don't know. Also, we're gonna be moving her into a big bed on Friday (FINGERS CROSSED). We finally found a great gate for the top of the stairs so we can now feel confident that she'll be safe when we transition to the new bed.

Now that I think about it, I may postpone Catie moving into her big bed a week (1) to get their room in order and (2) because Saturday is OPENING DAY for Glenwood Baseball!! John and Jamie pick up his uniform this evening (was supposed to be this past Saturday (13th) but the order was delayed or something). His coach *finally* called last evening and said there's gonna be a practice on Thursday (tomorrow) at 5:45pm but I don't know if it's really gonna happen cuz it's raining all week and tomorrow is actually supposed to be the worst day, with thunderstorms and everything.. We'll see.. I have to say, we've lost a little bit of the shiny we were feeling after the parent meeting but we'll see how this all goes. In fun news, since it has been raining so much, this evening John tossed the ball around the living room with Jamie to practice with his glove and from what I could hear from the family room with Catie, it sounded like he was doing really well! Yea, Jamie! :)

Ok, that's it for now. Update y'all again soon!!!!
